Double Victory for Euro-Tyre Driver Oliver Harsch
======================================

Oliver Harsch, the EURO-TYRE sponsored "drift pilot" from Germany recently scored double victories at German events.
On the weekend of 25/26 September Oliver attended the first GYMKHANA GERMANY event at the airfield of BAUTZEN located in eastern Germany.
Gymkhana is a competition of multiple skills and obstacles, in this case set out over two identical tracks with two drivers starting simultaneously and racing against the clock. Drifting, tight cornering, 360 degree turns around cones and 360 degree turns inside a parking box were just some of the skills demanded. The course was finished off by reversing in to a parking box when a flag was raised to notify the scored time.
With his modified BMW E30 equipped with Infinity tyres he made easy progress on the Saturday in the dry conditions despite high tyre erosion due to the concrete surface. Lots of grip meant extra strain on the drivetrain of the car when pulling tight corners and maneuvers around marker cones and parking boxes. Unfortunately Oliver paid the price later in the day with drive-shaft problems.

Thanks to a local enthusiast Oliver was able to carry out emergency repairs with some "locally acquired" spare parts!!
This did not leave him much of Saturday's practice session so after testing the care he decided to concentrate on Sunday's qualifying and competition. Late Saturday the conditions changed to mild rain, easing the tyre wear and demanding new skills of the drivers.
On Sunday Oliver dominated the competition with his skilled driving and cone-nudging pulling around the course with ease despite very wet and slippery conditions. Oliver went on to win the competition.
"I have Infinity tyres to thank for my victory today" he said. "This is the first weekend where I have mounted them on both axles and yesterday I was impressed, but today I'm astounded at the grip these tyres have shown in such tricky conditions, giving me precise control over the car"

On 2 and 3 October, Oliver travelled to the famous Hockenheim Ring for a drift competition and mini-gymkhana knockout competition.
In the drifting Oliver finished in the top 8 but was knocked out by the skilled driving of Mustang driver YVES FABER of Luxembourg.

The top 4 drifters of the day were allowed to compete against each other in 2 Nissan 370Z cars around a marked course against the clock.
Oliver showed his talents once again beating Luxembourg driver Yves Faber into second place. Revenge is sweet!
